Dominique BEFVE: <\/strong>I am a\u00a0\u201cself-made man\u201d who is asking a lot. Otherwise, I am very social and sociable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gerda<\/span><\/strong>: What are the main challenges you personally face, in the practice of your work?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dominique BEFVE: <\/strong>Working with nature, respecting it, and helping it to make the wine as good as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gerda<\/strong>: How did your harvest go?<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dominique BEFVE: <\/strong>2021 has been a tough year. There were important technical decisions to make. We set up everything to be successful: we even used a helicopter in April to fight the frost! Providentially, the nice weather at the end of the growing season saved the Cabernet Sauvignon. We have higher degrees in Cabernet Sauvigthan in Merlot this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand Lascombes today and tomorrow<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gerda<\/strong>: <\/strong>What positioning (s) do you want for your brand (s)?<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dominique BEFVE:<\/strong>We want our wine prices to match the quality in the bottle. However, it must remain affordable. Wine should be consumed with pleasure!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

G<\/em><\/strong>: How do your wines stand out, and are unique?<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

DB<\/strong>: Lascombes is one of the most concentrated wines of its appellation. I make the wine I love. This is why I am working with Michel Rolland since 2001.<\/p>\n
